We are proud to announce our new PC game in this next edition of the Gamelab Conference: Jules Verne and the shape of fantasy, dedicated to the life and work of Jules Verne. After Allan Poe's Nightmare, about the figure of Edgar Allan Poe, we want to pay tribute to one of the most famous fathers of science fiction and adventure.

Jules Verne and the shape of Fantasy is a narrative adventure in which the famous writer has been trapped in a parallel world where all his works coexist forming a place full of adventures, dangers and a lot of fantasy. The story is based mainly on Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea and Journey to the center of the earth, where, traveling aboard the mythical Nautilus, Verne will have to find a way to return imagination and creativity to a world invaded by gray industrialization.

With a careful aesthetic pixel art steampunk and a gameplay based on exploration, platforms, puzzle solving and interactive dialogues, allows the player to discover or rediscover the great stories of the most imaginative writers of all time.

A new way to enjoy Verne's work

"The imagination and creativity of Jules Verne was so overwhelming and has inspired so many writers and scientists, we wanted to make a tribute to bring their work to the new generations in a new format. I'm sure that if he was born in our time, he would be the best video game designer in history. " says Daniel González, director of Gametopia

After the video game Allan Poe's Nightmare, we are continue mixing the exciting worlds of literature with video games, connecting great authors with new audiences and bringing more cultural and social value to the sector.

The game is in the development phase with an expected launch date for the spring of 2020 and has the support of the Boosting Program for the videogame sector launched by Red.es and financed by the Plurirregional Operational Program of Spain 2014-2020 (POPE), European Regional Development Funds (ERDF) for the programming period 2014-2020 and under the motto: "A way of making Europe".
